They say that good things come in pairs; well even better things come in threes!

Last night saw the Sawston Drama Festival conclude with the adjudicator's trophy presentations to the groups and people who impressed him most throughout the last week.

We managed to come 2nd overall for our play 'Easy Stages'; this is a superb achievement for the group and puts us in a good position for the upcoming Cambridge Festival and really shows how much we're progressing as a festival group.

But that wasn't all. Abi Pearson-Hurrell won the Best Actress accolade for her portrayal of Alice, and Robin Pearson (yes, they are related!) won the Best Supporting Actor award for his character Sid.

With further nominations for our Stage Design, Jack Pook as 'Gerry' for Best Actor, Angela Newman as 'Patsy' for Best Actress and a special mention for the Adjudicator's Award, this year was a successful year at Sawston for us.

Congratulations to everyone else for their awards and to the other groups who made this years competition really interesting!
