About Us

Swavesey RADSOC is an amateur dramatics group based in Swavesey, England. We put on at least one main show a year which is usually a pantomime or play, plus smaller shows including a Festival entry into local drama festivals.

We are always on the look out for people who want to join the group and you don’t need to be an expert in anything to be part of the amateur dramatics world. In fact there are many different areas that you could help with:

• Acting, Singing, Dancing
• Technical – such as backstage, lighting, sound, set building
• Directing or Producing
• Front of House – selling tickets, welcoming the audience, bar sales

Membership costs only £10 a year for adults, and £5 for children/concessions. In 2008 we introduced a small rehearsal fee charge which covers room hire and refreshments – this costs only £1 per rehearsal session. This is a neccessary charge due to the ever-increasing costs of rehearsal and performance venues, which unfortunately become more expensive each year.
